Larry Wayne Finn, 68, of Newton, Illinois passed away at 2:00 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at his home.



Funeral services celebrating Larry's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Rev. Ron Linder and Bro. Rick Emrich officiating.  Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery in Hidalgo, IL with full military rites by the Jasper Post #20 American Legion.  Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM - Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the funeral home.  In loving memory of Larry, memorials may be made to the family's wishes.

Larry also known as "Peedad" was born on January 21, 1942 in Hidalgo, IL the son of John William and Goldie (Jayne) Finn.  He married Trudy Ann Rice and has been married for over 20 years. Larry was a lifelong horse trainer and had worked as a laborer and recently for the City of Newton at the water plant.
Larry served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He attended the Newton Free Methodist Church and was a member of the United States Trotting Association.  He enjoyed golfing and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of over 20 years, Trudy Ann Finn of Newton; three daughters, Carla Jo Hubbard of Brownsburg, IN, Michelle (Trevor) Finn Honomichl of Mesa, AZ and Kimberly Wayne Finn Darling of Charleston; grandchildren, Samantha and Levi; Christene, Jake and Zak Honomichl; Dannon Michael Yates and Matthew Lewis William Darling; great-granddaughter, Mya Marie Honomichl; brothers and sisters, Otis L.Finn of Newton, Connie (Cleo) Baker of Newton, Dale (Linda) Finn of Newton, Mary Ann (Gary) Scurlock of Manteno, Loretta (Rick) Emrich of Casey, Martha (Warren) Krueger of Manteno, Judy (John) Burgess of Momence, Glenda (Mark) Posing of Bourbonnais and John David Finn of Newton; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Ruby Lee Maples.
