Incubator will offer low-cost office space, amenities to local start-ups

The Effingham Regional Incubator Network (ERIN) will unveil one of its newest additions in a ribbon cutting and open house event at 124 S Van Buren St in Newton on Wednesday, January 18 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. The event, which is sponsored by People’s State Bank, is open to the public and will allow start-up business owners a chance to explore the space and learn more about the services ERIN offers its tenants.

“The open house is intended to highlight the space that is available and spur the interest of prospective tenants,” said ERIN board member Bob Schultz. The Newton Incubator space, which is currently utilized by the Jasper County CEO Class, features conference space, desks, chairs, filing cabinets, a refrigerator, white board, coffeemaker, and Wi-Fi access. Refreshments will be served following the 6:00 p.m. ribbon cutting and ERIN board members will be present to answer questions about the space and the role of the Incubator Network in the community.

The Effingham Regional Incubator Network is now in its second year of offering affordable professional office space to local start-ups. As Schultz puts it, ERIN is “Intended as a launch pad for our region’s next job creators. The Effingham Regional Incubator Network offers an important pathway for budding businesses and business ideas to flourish.” To learn more about the Effingham Regional Incubator Network, find them on Facebook or visit effinghamincubator.com.
