At 1:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, July 11, in Jasper County, 27 year-old Brandon Frichtl of Newton, was driving his gray, 2008, Ford truck when he ran off the roadway according to Illinois State Police, District 12.

 

He was heading eastbound on CR 2100N just west of CR 500E. The truck traveled through the ditch for several feet than hit a culvert, sliding sideways part way on the roadway and part way in the ditch. The unit then overturned multiple times partially ejecting Frichtl from the vehicle and came to rest upright in the ditch on the right side of the roadway. Frichtl was transported via Air Evac to Carle Foundation Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

 

Frichtl has been charged with Driving Under the Influence, Driving While License Revoked, Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Wear Seatbelt, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.
