Mary A. Kessler, 78, of Ingraham, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

A mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, with burial following at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney.

Mary was born on October 26, 1939 in Jasper Co., IL, the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Eckl) Zuber. Mary was the wife of Paul Kessler. They married on July 7, 1966 in Olney, IL. Mary was a homemaker and raised her four children in rural Ingraham. Mary enjoyed quilting and cooking and was an avid reader. She was a member of the home extension, taught religion class, was a member of the Lady's Sodality at Holy Cross Church in Wendelin, and was a leader of a local 4H club.

Mary is survived by her son, Henry (Sandra) Kessler of Ingraham; daughter, Rosa (Edward) Schmidt of Wheeler; daughter, Annette (Randy) Pool of Chilicothe, MO; daughter, Sharon Kessler of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Ian Kessler, Megan (Cole) Hildebrand, Anderson Kessler, Toby Schmidt, Rachel Pool, Kimberly Pool, and J.P. Pool; sisters, Carolyn (Fred) Bugle and Gertrude (Gene) Murphy; brothers, Joseph Zuber and Bernard (Brenda) Zuber; and brother-in-law, Dan Bangert and sister-in-law, Carolyn Zuber; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Lawrence Zuber, sister, Theresa Bangert, and infant brother and sister.
