Richland County Relay for Life event
raises $33,300 for fight against Cancer

The Relay For Life of Richland County was held on Saturday at the Richland County High School. The event

raised $33,300 to be used for the fight against cancer. Over 80 registered survivors participated and over 200

Luminarias were purchased and approximately 50 walkers/runners took part in the 1st Hope Glows 5k/1mile

event. The top ten fundraising teams were Runyon Family: $7,935, Carle Richland Memorial Hospital: $4,847,

Brenda's Hope Brigade: $3,231, Olney Free Methodist Church: $2,514, First National Bank in Olney: $2,112.77,

Murvin & Meier Oil Co.: $1,613, Steber Family Farm: $1,587, Trinity Lutheran Church: $1,272, Wal-Mart Super Center
