Dallas Richard Wolf, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother entered into eternal life on April 20, 2018. Dallas is survived by his wife Helen, daughters Deborah Wolf Feibus, and Patricia Wolf Hughes and husband Joe, grandchildren Christopher Burton, Faith Turnipseed and husband Tim, and Beau Feibus and wife Alana, great-granddaughter Madeleine Burton, brother, Charles Wolf and wife Pat, and many loving nieces and nephews. Dallas was preceded in death by his first wife Rae, his brother Clyde and wife Ruth, and his parents, Chris and Esther Wolf.
Born in Illinois, on July 4, 1930, Dallas grew up in a farming family, the oldest of 3 sons. After graduation from high school in Newton, Class of 1947, Dallas served his country for four years in the United States Air Force. While in the service, Dallas played basketball and was seen by scouts for a college in Louisiana which resulted in a scholarship. Upon graduation from college in Lafayette, Louisiana, Dallas was recruited by Shell Oil. Dallas enjoyed a very successful career with Shell Oil Co, as an Accountant at the Norco Refinery in Louisiana, Auditor at Shell Head Office in New York, a Manager of Data Processing at the Houston Refinery, Manager of Systems Programming at Shell Head Office in New York. Dallas became Manager of Data Processing at the Menlo Park Data Center in California, the Manager of the New Orleans Data Center, and then Manager of the Credit Card Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Manager of Field Data Systems in Houston, General Manager at Info and Computer Services in Houston, followed by his tenure as Treasurer of Shell Oil Company, at Head Office in Houston. Dallas concluded his career as General Manager of Administrative Services, in Purchasing and Administrative Services in 1990.
After retirement, Dallas was very active in his Lutheran Church, and was available to help many friends and neighbors over the years. Dallas' memorial service was held Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2400 Wilcrest Dr., Houston, TX 77042. The family requests donations in Dallas' name to the Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
