METAMORA-The weather was good for area farmers this past weekend but not so much for baseball players trying to win a tournament!

 

Friday,  Canton won both pool play games which garnered them the number one seed. In game one east Peoria was the 7-0 victim as Korbin Woerly (4-2) got the win with Austin Wright and Sam Parry both assisting on the mound.

And Miles Hoops 1-3 all pounded out the offense 

 

In game two Canton bested Washington B team 13-0

 

Christian Lowe (4-2) got the win

And Braden Munson also threw two innings of scoreless ball

The big guns were on offense with Jack Wheelwright 

 

Christian Lowe and Munson each having a hit. 

 

Saturday afternoon Canton had the number one seed and faced off versus the Twin City Raptors.

 

The bats were on fire as Canton’s offense amassed 15 runs in the 15-0 win.

Sunday the Giants were set to continue bracket play but the rain prevailed and the remainder of this event was cancelled.

 

The boys played well in all aspects of the game and each of them contributed to a 3-0 weekend. 

 

The young Giants are now 22-13 on the year as they head to the Kewanee tournament Father’s Day weekend.
