MACOMB – Cheering crowds and applause made it hard for the Rockin’ Papas band members to stop playing even into the late of the night.
The Macomb Park District kicked off its second annual Randolph Street Rendezvous as music lovers gathered under comfortably cool tree shade in Glenwood Park on Thursday evening.
Following a short introduction by superintendent of events Taylor Hanneman who welcomed everyone to the event and encouraged everyone to have fun, introduced the members of the Rockin’ Papas band. The group members hail from Knox & Fulton Counties, and they are Brett Chatterton - Drums/Vocals, Chris Collier - Guitar, Chris Postin - Vocals/Keys, Shubie -Bass/Vocals, Todd Eck - Sound  and  Rod "Zeke" Williams - Lights
The evening event was the second in a series of “pop-up” concerts with free live music, free hammocks, entertainment and activities for families and children who played on the newly opened playground equipment as the savory aroma of grilled burgers and hotdogs percolated the starry night and adult beverages were available to those of age.
The Rockin’ Papas band style themselves as a “high-energy, nonstop show to pack the dance floor” played a music of 70’s and 80’s music who played from the Glenwood Park stone shelter as music lovers listened from grassy incline with distinct meteor lights, picnic tables and an adult beverage cash bar.
Macomb Hy-Vee sponsored this event.
