The Fox Creek Vineyards and Winery hosts their annual Fox Festival featuring live music and food vendor on site.
Shari Russell, of Fox Creek Vineyards and Winery would like to invite everyone to their upcoming Fox Festival on Saturday, August 4, from 12:30 to 7:00 p.m.  It is an outdoor festival, but will be moved inside if there is inclement weather. A $10 entrance fee will include the cover charge, live entertainment, a commemorative logo wine glass, and all your wine samples.  Fox Creek has a large selection of tasty wines from which to sample!
The Fox Festival will feature two sets of live entertainment for your listening pleasure.  Making it very easy to enjoy your wine, the music will run throughout the entire day.  Opening the festival from 12:30 – 3:30, Jake Martin (of The Smoke Rings) and Stephanie Smith, from Mt. Carmel, Illinois, will team up to bring you a great selection of classic acoustic  rock and pop songs that will surely evoke many special memories as you listen.  They don’t mind at all if you sing along.  You may see Jake with one of his guitars, or a keyboard, maybe even a mandolin or a harmonica.  Regardless of what instrument he uses, he and Stephanie will bring you some great somgs to enjoy. Then from 4 – 7 p.m., Heather and Marty, from Effingham, Illinois will close the afternoon of wine and music with the sounds of standards with a twist, and some laid back mellow songs, and originals, that will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated.  The Fox Festival is a great place to visit with old friends and make some new friends. The music line-up for the day promises something for everyone to enjoy!
Bob Delaney, of The Blind Pig, will be at the Fox Festival this year with a nice selection of food on which to chow down.  Bob is famous for his delectable pork chop-on-a-stick.   You will most likely want to try it!  We hope you will plan to eat both lunch and dinner with us, but we do allow you to bring a few snacks of your own if you choose.  Just remember, by law, there is no outside alcohol allowed on the grounds/at this event.    Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs, pop-up tents, or sun block umbrellas, and Shari will have some seating areas under a tent provided as well.  Don’t let the weather keep you from attending.  You can always pop inside to cool down if you get a little too warm.  There is often a gentle breeze on the property.  Remember if it rains, the event will be moved indoors, and the party will go on.
