HARRISBURG — The CWC Boys team continued their strong start with a convincing win over Harrisburg at the Shawnee Hills Country Club on Tuesday, while the young Girls team showed improvement in their stroke average in their second match.

Boys (2,978 yds., Par 36): CWC 152, Harrisburg 189

Freshman Oakley Gee led the way with a 3-under par 33. He was even par through the first five holes, before putting his second shot on the Par 5 sixth to within 7 feet and converting the eagle putt. He followed that up with a wedge to within three feet for a birdie on the Par 4 seventh.

Standing on the Par 5 ninth tee at 3-under Gee had a chance to go really low, but a drive into the tree line and an indifferent wedge shot on his approach left him with a two-putt par for his 33.

Veterans Ty Barbre and August Saunders came in at 38 and 40 respectively, and it was Alex O’Daniel who posted the fourth score this time (41) despite struggles on the ninth hole.

CWC scores: Oakley Gee 33, Ty Barbre 38, August Saunders 40, Alex O’Daniel 41, Kaden Carter 45, KaCee Fulkerson 45.
