The “A” contest saw Canton rally for a 10-6 victory.


The Little Giants scored three runs in the bottom of the first before Farmington countered by scoring six runs in the second. Canton inched within 6-5 with two runs in the fourth before putting together a five-run rally in the bottom of the sixth to seize the lead for good.


Kai Correa, Carter Jordan and Trenton Hobby had two hits each for Canton, while JJ Hedges, Mason Rader and Korbin Woerly chipped in one hit each.


Jordan, Hobby and Rader recorded two RBIs each, while Cale Barnhart, Hedges and Woerly added one RBI each. Correa, Jordan and Hobby each scored twice for the Little Giants, while Hedges, Rader, Woerly and Jack Wheelwright each crossed the plate once.


The Little Giants finished with 12 stolen bases, including three by Correa, and two each by Jordan and Jayson Kuzniar.


Barnhart pitched four scoreless innings in relief, scattering three hits with one strikeout. Hedges recorded the final three outs, one on strikes, to close out the contest.


Defensively, Canton committed three errors, compared to one for Farmington. The Little Giants out-hit the Farmers 9-5.


The “B” contest saw Canton score in each of its four at-bats in notching an 11-4 victory in five innings.


The Little Giants put together four run rallies in each of the first two innings before adding two runs in the third and a single run in the fourth.


Farmington scored twice in the second and twice more in the fourth.


Christian Lowe had two of Canton’s seven hits. John Davis, Jace Weaver, Jaidyn Hooker, Brayden Coker and Laken Shockency added one hit each with Hooker and Weaver rapping doubles.


Coker and Weaver tallied two RBIs each, while Davis and Shockency chipped in one RBI each. Lowe and Hooker scored twice each, while Austin Wright, Braden Munson, Myles Frame, Davis, Wyatt Calvert, Dalys Grove and Maddox Helfrich scored one run each.


Wheelwright pitched two innings, striking out three, while Frame, Sam Parry and Woerly each threw one inning.


Farmington finished with three hits and committed four errors, while Canton had three errors.
