Parlin-Ingersoll Public Library will present “Main Street, Illinois” by John Lynn Monday, Oct. 15, from 6:30-8 p.m. The library program is a celebration of the Illinois bicentennial.

The product of a 30-year continuing project to capture the many ways Illinois towns offer Roots, a Hometown, and a Little America for us all, “Main Street, Illinois” is a memorable and fun-filled tour of the charms, traditions and personalities of Illinois towns — mostly small towns — led by the only person who has visited and photographed all 2400 of them.

John Lynn of Peoria has photographed all 2400 Illinois cities, villages and towns. He has also hiked, biked and canoed enough historic and scenic trails, roads and rivers in North America and Britain to circle the globe. He has now shared his experiences and discoveries with over 4000 audiences.
