On Saturday, September 17, Miss Illinois, Hannah Smith, will be attending the annual Jasper County Fall Festival.
Miss Illinois will begin her day by appearing in the Fall Festival Parade which begins at 10:00 am. on Washington Street in Newton. Immediately following the parade, Miss Illinois will be speaking on the square about her platform issue, Distracted Driving - Focus.
In 2011 State Farm Insurance and the Miss Illinois Scholorship Association have teamed up to promote good decision making behind the wheel by teen drivers and educate teens on safe driving habits. Following her presentation, Miss Illinois will be available for photos and autographs at the square.
