Beverly A. Roberts, 78, of Macomb passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Wesley Village in Macomb. She was born July 2, 1939 in Ipava to parents Gerald and Ilene (Berry) Groff. She married Howard Roberts on Aug. 26, 1960, in Blandinsville. He survives.
Survivors include sons Jack Roberts of Oneida, Jerry Roberts of Chicago and Jody (Kimberly) Roberts of Altona, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Chris, Courtney, Katelynn, Hope, Kiersten, Caroline, Kelly and Lindsay; two great-grandchildren, Elikk and Lillith; sister Diana (John) Modlin of Adair, niece Danielle Sirtak of La Harpe, sister-in-law Donnabelle Aleshire of Macomb, sister-in-law Judy Murtin of Macomb and brother-in-law Doc Roberts of Macomb.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Groff. Beverly was a homemaker and member of the Rio Home Extension. She was a big fan of anything Elvis Presley. She loved animals, plants and flowers. She enjoyed painting ceramics, crafts and baking. She was a people person.
Graveside service is at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in the Ipava Cemetery in Ipava with Pastor Dean Potts officiating. Visitation is 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Interment is at Ipava Cemetery. Memorial may be made to McDonough District Hospice.
