Alice Marie Watts, 87, of Robinson, Illinois passed away at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Rev. Leland Culp in charge of services. Burial was in the Robinson New Cemetery.
Alice was born October 17, 1920 in Hutsonville, IL the daughter of Lyman L. Lowe and Rachel E. Taylor Lowe. She graduated from Hutsonville High School in the Class of 1938, was a member of the Porterville Congregational Christian Church, and was an avid semi-precious and precious rock collector with her husband. She worked in the Marathon Cafeteria and as a custodian at Marathon for over 30 years. She married James F. Watts on June 11, 1955; he preceded her in death November 1, 1993.
Alice is survived by her two daughters, Sharon (Vern) Stallings of Robinson and Sue (Max) Musgrave of Oblong; step-daughter Ruth (Ed) Kinchen of rural Porterville; eight grandchildren, Dr. Shawn Bailey, Eric and Kelly Bailey, Doug and Cindy Hawkins, Jamie and Andy McReynolds, Jason Geiger, Debbie and Larry Dix, Karen Schulz and her fiancé David and Kim Garrard; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great, great-granchildren and close friends, Mildred Powden and Esther Skidmore.
