Mrs. Darlene R. Warfel, 54, of Robinson, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Raymond E. Warfel, Jr., Tony F. Warfel and Travis Friedrich officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL and until time of service on Friday. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery, Greenup, Illinois. In loving memory of Darlene, memorials may be made to the Robinson Church of Christ or Make a Wish Foundation.
Darlene was born September 21, 1955 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Wilma (Huston) Brooks. She married Raymond E. Warfel August 27, 1972. Darlene was a nurse's aide at Newton Rest Haven, Newton, IL and had been employed at E.R. Moore Garment Factory, Newton, IL. She was a member of the Robinson Church of Christ.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Warfel of Robinson; sons, Raymond E. (Erin) Warfel, Jr. of Youngstown, OH, Kevin DeWayne (Heather) Warfel of Pittsboro, IN and Tony F. Warfel of Robinson; daughters, Valerie R. (James) Collier and Stefanie (Travis) Friedrich, all of Palestine; eight grandchildren, Abigail, Kailey and Maggie Collier, Megan Warfel, Molly Warfel, Charles Warfel, Tanner Warfel and Ella Friedrich; mother-in-law, Mildred Warfel of Hidalgo; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn (Curtis) Smith of Marion and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Wilma Brooks, daughter Gayanna Marie Warfel, brother Wayne Brooks, sister Linda Weir, father-in-law Raymond C. Warfel.
