Anna L. Volk, 96, of Wendelin, Illinois passed away at 6:25 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 15, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wendlin, IL with Monsignor Marvin Volk. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Wendlin. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, Olney, is in charge of arrangements.

Anna was born August 5, 1913 in Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of Leo and Margaret (Ament) Fehrenbacher. She married Edmund Joseph Volk April 17, 1934; he preceded her in death March 14, 1989. Anna was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wendelin and the Ladies Sodality of Holy Cross Church and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.

She is survived by daughter, Jean (Norman) Zwilling of Dundas, daughter, Ellen (Art) Kuhl of Ingraham, son, Frank (Linda) Volk of Olney, son, Jerome Volk and friend Valerie Raymond of Willimantic, CT, son Monsignor Marvin Volk of Millstadt; sister, Martha Volk of Olney; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, nine step, great-grandchildren, two great, great-grandchildren and two step, great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Ruth Volk and brother Cletus Fehrenbacher.
