Christina A. Kocher, 90, of Olney, Illinois, formerly of Champaign, IL passed away at 1:03 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Burgin Manor, Olney.
Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Reverend Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Champaign, IL. Christina was born December 15, 1919 in Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of John and Veronica (Kocher) Rennier. She married Raymond Kocher November 27, 1941 at St. Valentine's Church, the Bend, Jasper County, IL; he preceded her in death on June 4, 1987. Christina was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olney.
She is survived by daughter, Annette (Leo) Volk of Ingraham, son, Kenneth (Veronica) Kocher of Thomasboro, daughter, Eileen (Michael) Jarboe of Penfield, daughter, Linda (Frank) Volk of Olney, daughter, Jane Kocher of Olney, daughter, Beverly Kocher of Champaign and daughter, Sharon (David) Staehle of Canandaigua, NY; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three step, great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bernadette Kocher of Olney, Coletta (Ralph) Bahl of Dundas and Theresa Kirk of Robinson; sister-in-law, Mathilda Rennier of Decatur and Lelia Rennier of Ste. Marie.
Christina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Frank and Ephrem Rennier and sisters Violetta Kapper, Scholastia Seiler and Catherine Hippler.
