Jerry Zimmerman, 69, of Gun Barrel City, TX, formerly of Newton passed away Sunday August 3, 2008 at home.
Memorial services were held today at Eubank Cedar Creek, Mabank TX on Thursday August 7, 2008.
Jerry was born in Robinson IL on June 15, 1939. Jerry worked as a Chemist for companies such as Staley's, St. Regis Paper, Dixie Co and Huntsman for many years until retirement in 1998. After retirement, Jerry focused on his primary interests of fishing, wood working and golf. Jerry enjoyed his weekly golf outings with his friends and currently holds the Cedar Creek record for the largest Sand bass!
Jerry is survived by his wife, Josephine, of Gun Barrell City; two daughters, Julie Zimmerman of Sydney, Australia and Jennifer Bogdanowicz of Haslet, TX; one step son, Donald Ragusa, one son-in-law, Paul; two grandchildren, Anthony and Christopher Ragusa; two brothers, Gene Zimmerman and Max Zimmerman, both of Decatur as well as his step-mother Floris Zimmerman of Newton.
