Youth league baseball and softball

    It took 10 innings but Pontiac was able to move to 3-0 in its summer season with a 5-4 win over Iroquois West Monday.
    Tyler Pulliam got the win in relief. He allowed two hits and struck out three in three innings of relief.
    Eric Watson led off Pontiac’s 10th inning with a double, and then he stole third before scoring the winner on a passed ball.
    The game was tied at 4-4 after seven innings because Iroquois West scored in the top of last frame in regulation to pull even. This came after Pontiac had taken a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the sixth on a run-scoring double from Austin Waldschmidt.
    Watson got the start for Pontiac, giving up three runs on five hits and striking out six in five innings. Jacob Bressner and Luke Fox each threw one inning of relief.
    Pulliam collected two hits while Watson and Waldschmidt each doubled.Nic Hendren, Trevor Sexton, Aaron Adcock and Trey Edinger each had a base hit.
Little League
    Hayden DuVall and Mason Schlosser combined to toss a three-hitter and Illinois American Water Company rolled to a 10-2 victory over First Financial Bank in Little League play Monday at the Rec-Plex.
    DuVall got the start, allowing one hit and striking out seven in three innings. Schlosser allowed two runs and two hits to go with five punchouts in relief.
    IAWC scored three runs in each of the first two innings in taking a 6-0 lead. Schlosser had a run-scoring two-base hit in the first inning and Trenton Blackwell homered with two on in the second.
    A three-run fourth inning was highlighted by Brayden Stroh’s two-run single as the lead grew to 9-0. IAWC added a run in the fifth inning.
    First Financial scored twice in the bottom of the fifth. Jackson Harder had an RBI single.
    Stroh had four hits and drove in two runs for IAWC. Blackwell had a homer, double and three RBIs. Schlosser contributed a double, single and RBI and DuVall had a double and single. Owen Stroh had a hit and two runs batted in with Anderson Horning getting a single and Shannon Law driving in a run.
    Harder had a hit and RBI for First Financial. Boden Brooks and Aiden Tammen each singled.
    Carter Dronenberg started on the bump, striking out six in two innings. Brennan Edens and Jacob Fogarty each fanned three in relief.
Peanut League
    Fraher Ford scored early and did not allow Wright’s Furniture to score in posting a 4-0 victory in Peanut League play.
    Fraher scored three times in the first inning and added a run in the last of the third inning for the final difference.
    Aden Brummel, Wyatt Williams, Marco Casillas, Evan Wolfe and Jace Bauman each had two hits for Fraher Ford. Jackson Dukes, Cale Christenson and Cody Pinkerton had one hit apiece.
    Aiden Prendergast, Michael Viti and Logan Mackinson each had one hit for Wright’s.
Rookie Miss
Suzi Q’s 10, Sturms Seed 5
    Alyza Steidinger drove in four runs to lead Suzi Q’s to a 10-5 win over Sturms Seed Service in a Rookie Miss softball game Monday.
    Steidinger had a double and single in leading the 13-hit attack. Amelia Maier had two hits and drove in a run and Isabella Hinz collected two hits. Ava Metz doubled and drove in two runs. Grace Murphy had a hit and RBI while Payton Rogers had a hit and earned the game ball. Amaya Wyman, Kenzie Fetgatter, Haylee O’Neal and Emmalee Hammer each had one hit.
    Sturms collected 14 hits with Maggie Crawford delivering two doubles, a single and three RBIs. Ruby Sturms, Susan Berry and Kinsley Henry each had two hits. Laryssa Sorensen had a hit and RBI and earned the game ball while Alyson Trout, Erin Singer, Kira Johnson and Tinley Henson each had one hit.
Lyons Sullivan 8, Good Times Limo 3
    Lyons-Sullivan Realty found the right location 14 times in topping Good Times Limo 8-3. Five players had two hits for Lyons-Sullivan as the team collected 14 safeties. Syndel Hicks, Lily Sipe, Abbue Rapp, Brenna Burgess-Lang and Emma Mercer each had two hits and Peyton Mercer stroked a three-base hit. Aubrey Thompson, Harper Francis and Maya Ray each singled.
    Tiffany Legner had three hits as Good Times registered 16 base hits. Kingsley Hamilton, Addison Gall, Anna Gall, Izzy Radford and Maddy Mackinson each had two hits while Brooklyn Tissiere, Natalie Miller and Alexis Legner had one hit apiece.
