Prep boys cross country

Ever the cordial host, Pontiac was third in a boys' cross country triangular cross country meet Tuesday.
Streator won the meet with 37 points. Tri-Point was next at 41 and PTHS had 47.
Rafel Dantoja of Streator was the winner with a time of 19 minutes, 14 seconds as he beat Tri-Point's Jose Amdor to the chute. Amdor finished at 19:17.
The Chargers had three runners place in the top five. Wyatt Dohe was third overall at 19:23 and Tri-Point teammate Jacob Ritchy was fifth overall and third for the Chargers at 20:32.
Chase Dathort was 12th overall at 21:57 and Connor Cardenas was 19th (no time given). Hayden Lane also ran for the Chargers.
Pontiac was led by Jack Fogarty with his fourth-place time of 19:46. Weiland Torkelson got Paul Giordano at the wire in placing seventh overall and second for the Indians at 20:48.6. Giordano was eight overall and third for PTHS with his time of 20:48.7. Noah Parra was fourth for Pontiac at 22:09 and Kevin Sennott came in 15th overall in completing the Tribe's scoring with his time of 22:34.
Also running were Tucker Riordan and Leighton Gerdes.
