Ali Schrock and Dani Grace Schrock were equal to par in leading Pontiac to a record-setting score in winning an Illini Prairie Conference girls’ golf match Wednesday at North Green Golf Course.
The Schrock sisters each shot even-par 36 in leading the Indians to a 177 final tally. Olympia finished with a 183.
The 177 for PTHS broke the former low mark of 179 that was shot in 2013.
Taylor Parson came in with a 49 and Rylee Zimmerman shot 56 to complete the scoring. Aliya Leonard had a 59 and Claire Nyi chalked up a 68.
Dwight Triangular
DWIGHT — Kat Harms claimed medalist honors in leading Dwight toa triangular win over Plano and Sandwich at Dwight Country Club.
Harms carded a 53, one stroke better than teammate Chloe Butterbrodt, for low score. Isabelle Schultz shot 55 and Kelly Deterding tied with Kendahl Weller at 60. Gabby Mascolo came in at 61.
The Trojans put up 222, easily outdistancing Sandwich (248) and Plano (249).
Boys
Pontiac Triangular
Pontiac had four players score under 40 but fell short of winning a boys’ triangular Wednesday at the Elks Club.
Central Catholic won with a 158, edging Pontiac’s 160 and IVC’s 181.
Griffin Brunner led the Indians with a 38 while Garrett Brunner and Griffin Nyi each shot 39. Rocco Sartoris had a 4 to complete the scoring. Hunter Trainor had a 45 and Ethan Finnegan tallied 48.
Parker Wisdom of BCC was medalist at even-par 35.
BCC won the JV match with a 201. Pontiac had 204 and IVC finished at 260.

    Payton Cheek was medalist with a 46 for Pontiac.
Dwight-Newark
    DWIGHT — Andrew Curl came in low scorer but Dwight was unable to match Newark as the Norsemen posted a 170-188 win over the Trojans in a dual match at Dwight Country Club.
    Curl carded a 39 for DTHS. Mason Tjelle shot 48 and was followed by Nathan Wozniak with a 50. Sevin Vargas and Anthony Dinelli each carded 51 and Nolan Perkins came in at 55.
    Connor Biker and Corey Jacobson each shot 41 for Newark.
    Newark took the JV match 231-245. Brody Hoegger led the Trojans with a 58.

EPG Triangular
    EL PASO — Caleb Lavender and AJ Bond tied for low score as each shot 40 in leading El Paso-Gridley to a 176-192-203 win over Roanoke-Benson and Clinton.
    Jacob Castleman and Luke Ihlenfeldt each carded a 48 to complte the scoring. Tyler Young came in at 49 and Harrison Brooks finished at 56.
