Junior high cross country

Pontiac's fifth and sixth graders of the PJHS cross country team competed at the Saunemin Meet held at 5-Mile Creek. The harriers competed against runners from  Morris, Bloomington St. Paul, Tri-Point and Saunemin.
Three young ladies finished in the top 10 of the girls' race. Kally Cotter led the group with a third-place time of 15 minutes, 22 seconds. Lyla Donovan was fifth with a PR mark of 16:22. Kassondra Poshard was 10th at 19:07. Zoey Cooper (28:19) also competed.
The boys dominated with seven Warriors placing in the top 10. Camden Fenton won the race with a personal-best time of 13:14, edging teammate Logan McCabe, who was second at 13:21. Anderson Horning was third overall and for PJHS at 13:47, a PR, and Levi Rients was fifth at 14:20. Hunter Christenson (14:38) placed seventh, ahead of Tyler Hanson (14:49 PR) in eighth and Brody Karr (14:59) in 10th. Also competing were Brayden Stroh (15:17 PR), Dylan Verdun (16:12), Liam Reilly (17:17), Charlie Sipe (18:33), Ryson Eilts (20:27), Blaine Tarr (21:41), Jonathan Cassady (21:49) and Zack Legner (23:59).
