Area football from Friday with Fieldcrest, FCW Tri-Valley

    Kenton Castrejon ran the ball three times and scored each time in leading Fieldcrest to a 61-8 victory over Flanagan-Cornell-Woodland in a crossover Heart of Illinois Conference football game Friday night at Veterans Park.
    Castrejon found the end zone on runs of 65, 15 and 10 yards to give him 90 yards for the Knights (2-3). McKay added 70 yards, including a 20-yard TD.
    Fieldcrest was able to keep its passing game crisp as McKay hit on 5 of 9 passes for 90 yards and three touchdowns. He had scoring strikes of 40 yards to Derek May, a 5-yarder to Jaxon Cusac-McKay and a 15-yard connection with Keegan Robbins. Mayhad two catches for 50 yards.
    No information of FCW was provided, but the Falcons did get on the scoreboard for the first time this season.
Tri-Valley 27, LeRoy 0
    LEROY — Tri-Valley did all its scoring in the second half in a 27-0 victory over rival LeRoy.
    The Vikings broke a 0-0 halftime tie with a Jake Reeser touchdown pass to open the scoring. Zach Woodring added a 2-yard touchdown run and Reeser threw another TD pass in a 20-point quarter.
    Woodring broke off a 54-yard TD run in the fourth period to cap the scoring. Woodring rushed for 146 yards on the night.
    In other HOIC games, Eureka overwhelmed Ridgeview 49-14, Dee-Mack got past Heyworth 33-20 and Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley shut out Fisher 56-0 in a battle of ranked teams.
    In the Illini Prairie Conference, Monticello pounded Central Catholic 56-8.
