MACOMB — The city council is scheduled to vote Monday on an addendum to a funding agreement between the city and the Western Illinois Regional Council. Macomb is in partnership with the WIRC Community Action Agency in an effort to demolish substandard housing.
Aldermen will also take action on an addendum with an independent contractor for the management of Spring Lake Park and Campground. Ryan and Beth Hansen own Spring Lake Management, a company created specifically to administer the recreational facility for the city.
Also on the city council schedule is the annual adoption of state prevailing wage requirements for public works projects and an annual state resolution seeking temporary closure of a portion of U.S. 67 for the Western Illinois University Homecoming Parade.
Aldermen will also be asked to create a special event liquor license for the Macomb High School Class of 1998 Reunion. The council meeting will begin with the swearing in of new police officer Zachary Hill, and with a mayoral proclamation recognizing General Aviation Month and honoring the Macomb Municipal Airport.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m. on the second floor of Macomb City Hall.
