The Jasper CEO class is hosting Entranced: A Night of Wonder on Saturday, January 26th at 5:30 p.m in the high school auditorium. The evening will begin with a show performed by hypnotist Brian Madrid who will attempt to hypnotize community members including Lanette Huddleston, Susan Lindley, Kyle Klier or possibly join them and others on stage. Following the show, a dinner will be catered by Hartrich’s in the high school gym. While enjoying dinner, a live auction will be held featuring items from local businesses as well as other. The cost for the dinner and show is $50 per person.

When asked what made the business team decide upon this event Keri Zumbahlen states, “As a class, we came up with 3 different business ideas. We then completed a S.W.O.T. Analysis in order to choose an event. S.W.O.T. stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. We wrote down and discussed all of these aspects for all three events and decided that the dinner and show would have the most success.”

The CEO class has a goal to create an impact in the community by donating half of the profits from the evening while spreading the word about CEO as well as offering the opportunity for the community to participate in the event and providing a venue to highlight local businesses. The other half of the proceeds from the evening will go towards class funds. Keri states, “The other half we will be choosing a cause to donate to. We want to give half of our proceeds back to the community that has given so much to us.”

The CEO class will be hosting a live auction this year to provide a more entertaining and engaging experience for those in attendance. There are several baskets being put together with items donated by businesses. The class is accepting donations and if you wish to donate to the event contact facilitator, Gina Kocher, at gkocher@jccu1.org.

A few of the items already donated include a room rental gift certificate from Tuscan Hills Winery. With this certificate, you can rent out their entire Stellar Cellar for free. We have also received Cardinal tickets, donated by the Bolander’s, and Illinois basketball tickets, donated by Grunloh Construction Inc, to auction off. A unique item we are auctioning off this year is a Dinner with the Mayor certificate donated by Joe’s.
