Once again it's time to start planning for the coming summer of Flower Pots on the Square. The canna bulbs have been started in Connor Landscaping Mini greenhouse and as of this date 80% of the pots have sponsors. Thus far: for the inner court yard-Newton Rotary Club, Ambraw River Eagles #4475, Dieterich Bank, Crain Funeral Home, The Millsap Family, Cork & Pork and Newton Masonic Lodge Chapter #497 are sponsoring 7 of the 10 pots, leaving 3 pots needing sponsors.

On the outside: or merchants side of the square, 15 of the 17 pots have sponsors with 2 remaining small pots needing a sponsor. The sponsors thus far are: Peoples State Bank, Arndt's Fudgery, Jasper Realty Inc., Revive Salon, Rauch's Jewery, Inc. (in memory of Barbara Rauch), Steve Jone's Hdwe/Marathon One Stop, Joe's Italian Food & Pizza, Greg and Marcea Dennis, Donna Connor (in memory of Mike Connor), Mike & Teresa Hartrich/Michele & Dusty Wright (in memory of Scott Hartrich), Newton Public Library/Newton Woman's Club/& Jr. Woman's Club, The Volunteers of Master's Hand, Jasper Clothiers/and In Memory of Dylan Hartigan, and Weber, Tedford, Heap & Ayres Law office. Jane Casey sponsors the pots at the Burl Ives Monument in memory of Larry Casey.
