It’s official now. Springfield Clinic has a new address in Newton.
The medical facility held a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to celebrate its new facility, which added more space for health care procedures. The clinic that offers family practice, internal medicine and dermatology made a short move from Washington Street.
“Yes, we moved across the street by the St. Anthony’s clinic location. It’s a new building behind the Medicine Shoppe,” said Brenda Lustig, office manager for Springfield Clinic. The Medicine Shoppe pharmacy stands in the 600 block of West Jourdan, where the IGA grocery was once located.
The switch in location was completed in December.
Springfield Clinic has offered quality care for two decades in Newton. For many years, the sign on the door read Marshall Clinic, one of several in this region of Illinois. That medical network merged with Springfield Clinic a few years ago.
The new facility in Newton has eight employees, including physicians and nurse practitioners. The clinic has top certifications on a variety of care disciplines. It is open Monday through Friday. Dermatology care is offered on Thursdays.
Springfield Clinic helps provide rural health care for patients in small towns or living in unincorporated areas. It offers a local option for care to its patients.
