David Wilson, 76, of Blandinsville passed away at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
He was born on January 2, 1942 in Macomb to Wendell and Mary Irey Wilson.
He is survived by one daughter, Beth (Tyler) Carson of rural Colchester; two grandchildren, Lauren and Reid Carson; two sisters, Sandra Riggins of Macomb and Jane (Dennis Hoerner) of Aledo; one brother, William (Denise) Wilson of Springfield; one sister-in-law, Carol Wilson of LaHarpe; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Sally Day of Stronghurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, Joe Wilson and a brother-in-law, Roger Riggins.
Dave lived in Blandinsville all of his life. He was a 1960 graduate of Western High in Macomb. He worked for United Feeds for many years before his retirement. He also worked for the ordinance plant in Middleton, Iowa and construction for several years.
He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing pool, watching NASCAR and going to car shows. He mowed several area cemeteries for several years. He was on the Blandinsville-Hire Fire Department and a member of Twin Oaks Country Club. He was an Army veteran.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Blandinsville.
