Prep golf from Tuesday
Pontiac got a little preparation round in at Wolf Creek Golf Course on Tuesday with a 195-227 win over Bloomington in girls' golf. The Indians will be back at Wolf Creek on Thursday for the Livingston County Invitational.
Dani Grace Schrock carded a three-under 33 to lead the Indians. Ali Schrock finished with a 38 while Rylee Zimmerman came in with a 59 and Aliya Leonard carded a 65 to complete the scoring. Macey Rice shot 68.
FAIRBURY — Normal Community was able to edge host Prairie Central 193-202 in a girls' dual at Indian Creek Golf Course.
Katelind Winterland led the Hawks with a 46. Alycia Lewis-Deaton came in with a 51 and Taylar Beal shot 52. Alyssa Bachtold completed the team scoring with a 53.
DWIGHT — Isabelle Schultz was low for Dwight as she led the Trojans to a girls' golf triangular victory over Watseka and Iroquois West at Dwight Country Club.
Schultz put up 52 for DTHS, who tallied 219 as a team. Watseka shot 225 and Iroquois West tallied 247.
Kat Harms came in with a 55 while Chloe Butterbrodt and Kelly Deterding each shot 56 to complete the scoring. Kendahl Weller finished at 59 and was followed by Gabby Mascolo (60), Miranda Holte (61) and Darien Guyer (66).
EUREKA — Fieldcrest had the second and third lowest scores in placing second overall as a team at the Birdhouse Invite golf tournament at Kaufman Park Golf Course Tuesday.
Peoria Christian won the tournament with a 166, edging the Knights by two strokes (168). El Paso-Gridley tied for third with host Eureka at 175. Henry-Senachwine and Heyworth also competed.
Clay Wells shot 37 for the Knights and Nick Mariotti was next with a 38. Koy Allen shot 45 and Isaac Morse had a 48 to complete the Fieldcrest scoring. Kaden Gensler (58) and Nolan Timmerman (59) also competed.
AJ Bond led EPG with a 40, which tied for fourth among individuals. Tyler Young carded a 44 with Luke Ihlenfeldt shooting 45 and Caleb Lavender checking in at 46. Harrison Brooks and Jacob Castleman each shot 48.
Prairie Central Triangular
COAL CITY — Payton Dunahee garnered medalist honors in leading Prairie Central to a triangular win over host Coal City and Seneca in a match at Cinder Ridge Golf Course.
Dunahee recorded a 39 for low as the Hawks tallied 174. The Coalers were next at 193 and Seneca put up 197.
Rylie Vaughan and Ty Drach each shot 44 and Trey Bazzell came in at 47 to complete the scoring as the Hawks competed without Josh Kilcullen. Austin Friedman had a 49 and Carter Nowak carded a 51.
Isaiah Adams shot 51 to lead the Prairie Central JV squad to a triangular win. PC had 215 to Seneca's 220 and Coal City's 260.
